I am delighted to announce that within my mobile DJ business i will now be offering full wedding event planning and management!
This has come at a time where wedding clients continue to ask for me to manage their entire day for them and their guests. I have done this over the past few months being the person to coordinate all aspects of the big day for the bride and groom with making sure everything runs smoothly and where everyone needs to be and particular times.
While meeting with a current couple in the free wedding consultation meeting, the bride and groom where asking about their day and what i offer. I mentioned what was available the the clients were overwhelmed at what a wedding DJ can offer. They mentioned that they had a wedding planner who was assisting them but had currently only handed over a list of a handful of suppliers, most being the high end of the scale, when speaking to the couple i realised that some of these were not needed for them as it was a simple wedding and quite budget strict, when i offered a few alternatives both were very appreciative and were due to look at these options.
As a DJ we see the entire day of the wedding, from the early planning stages of just getting sorted with booking a date through to organising all there music needs throughout the day, with this you learn and develop relationships with other wedding vendors. We learn and know which company will be doing which part of the wedding, flowers, table dressing, wedding cars, photo-booths, photographer and much more so as the all day DJ its easy for us to stand up and manage all these vendors in one day as its only the DJ/Host and photographer that are with at the event all day.
The wedding timeline is the one huge item that needs to be manufactured and managed by the planner and with this our music and event planning app allows this to happen a lot easier. It segregates each part of the day into sections which makes it easy to manage and control. Typically i get the full wedding timeline before the venue or any other vendors from the bride and groom as we work out all the music that is needed weather it be simple background music while having drinks & canapes or the entrance and introduction of the bride and groom to the wedding breakfast with cheering guests waving their napkins. All these little bits add up so we plan these with the couples that we work with.
