Well Its July, and we are half way through 2026 already!! To be honest 2026 has been both busy and quiet so far... Started the year really busy January and February was exceptionally busy as was March. After March is slowed down and only 1 or 2 events done and i really enjoyed this down time andf weekend off. May & June came with only a low handful of events 1 wedding 1 birthday before we came into the TT fortnight. This year no DJ at all over TT so i was able to enjoy the races when the weather played ball.... Now we have reached the start of July, work wise it now ramps up, we have so many events over the next 6 weeks or so proms, weddings and hires are keeping me very busy. Come the end of August we have 2 weekends off and will be reflecting on the events done in the downtime.
I must admit i havent missed the DJ work when i have had weekends free. Its made me think about the business and what and where i want MC Entertainment to go moving forward. 2026 is a year of reflection as i do have other goals and things i want to do and achieve but i still want MC Entertainment to grow and become a really strong brand and business on island.
2027 is a year where i will either decide to continue with a low work calendar to enjoy the work life balance more or i will explode and push MC Entertainment further than its ever been, new equipment better showmanship, and really push it across the island. Currently its a 50/50 split but each side has its benefits and issues. The Isle of Man needs something like me and the MC Entertainment business and i know i can push and create something but on the other hand i have really liked the low key running and less stressful side of only working every now and then. So lots to ponder moving forward.....
What ever happens we will smash and enjoy every event i do with 100% put into it!
See you all on the dancefloor soon!
MC x
